At present, high speed, high efficiency of mechanical products, precision, reliability, low vibration, low noise ratchet lever block, light and automation of the demand is higher and higher. As an important part of mechanical system, chain transmission is widely used in agriculture, mining, lifting transport, machinery, metallurgy, construction, petroleum, chemical industry. Roller chain drive is the most widely used in the chain drive. It is made up of chain and the main, driven sprocket ratchet lever block. Roller sprocket system has the special tooth profile of gear, rely on the sprocket and chain link mesh to transmit motion and power. Roller chain drive performance have a critical impact on the whole mechanical system. Ordinary roller chain polygon effect, seriously affected the chain transmission system in high speed under the working state of stability and noise, therefore, improve the working condition of roller chain drive system with lower noise and so on has important practical significance, it is also a difficulty and hotspot in the research of the current roller chain. With the constantly updated development of the modern test and measurement methods, for chain polygon effect of experimental study provides technical support and possible ratchet lever block. The main content of this article is based on virtual instrument software Lab VIEW platform, the development of the chain transmission speed fluctuation test test device, and use the device on the chain polygon effect were studied. The paper detailed the development and status quo of study on chain polygon effect is analyzed.
